BOSton marathon
Running the Boston Marathon was a defining moment in my journey as an endurance athlete. I trained for the race using a training block I built myself, balancing structure, intensity, and recovery while learning firsthand what it takes to prepare for a world-class event. Standing on the start line in Hopkinton and running through the energy of the course was an unforgettable experience, one that demanded discipline, mental toughness, and trust in the process I had designed.
That race did more than test my fitness and it reshaped how I approach endurance sport. Crossing the finish line confirmed the power of intentional training and sparked a deeper commitment to running and long-distance competition. The lessons I took from that Boston Marathon: about pacing, patience, and resilience became the foundation for my progression into triathlon and endurance racing. It was the catalyst that pushed me beyond simply training to finish, and toward training with purpose and long-term vision.
